Popular gourmet food: Smoked Salmon

When it comes to having an elegant cuisine for a dinner party, nothing beats gourmet food as not only is such food classy, but also very elegant. If you are planning on having any dinner party at your house, choosing the right types of gourmet food can be quite difficult. The food mainly depends on your presentation and the guest that would be invited.

One of the most popular gourmet foods is that of smoked salmon as not only does it taste wonderful in nearly every variation, but it can also give off a buttery taste. A variation of this salmon is the Norwegian version that has a stronger and smokier flavor. Made by Norwegians, this smoked salmon has a thick mixture of salt and sugar that together with hand carved pieces of the salmon are slowly smoked. Another variation is the Hot Smoked Norwegian Salmon that provides a texture which can easily melt in one’s mouth. Unlike the Norwegian Smoked Salmon, the Hot Smoked Salmon can be served either as the main course or as an appetizer as it is much thicker and less smoky.

The Scottish variation of this gourmet food is the Scottish Smoked Salmon which is much smoother, delicate and tender to eat. This variation of the Smoked Salmon is orange-pink in color and extremely delicious to taste.

One of the most favorite of all gourmet foods is the Gravadlax Scottish Salmon that one can usually find in stores. In fact, it has made its way from Scotland to become a delicacy all around the world. Since it is marinated in a mix of salt, sugar, and dill food lovers can experience unparalleled and rich flavor.
